About Us
Talia DiCostanzo is the Owner and Head Trainer of Encore Equine, where she is dedicated to developing confident horses, capable riders, and lasting partnerships through thoughtful, individualized horsemanship.

From a young age, Talia's passion for horses shaped the foundation of her career. Growing up, she gained experience across multiple disciplines, riding everything from Quarter Horses and Paints to competitive hunter/jumper mounts. This diverse background has given her a well-rounded perspective and the versatility to successfully train and coach across a variety of programs.

Over the years, Talia has specialized in the development of young horses, guiding many from their earliest rides through successful show careers. Her experience spans Western Pleasure, all-around events, and hunter/jumper disciplines, with a focus on building confident, willing, and competitive equine partners through patient, horse-centered training. Music is woven into the program through Talia’s background and education in music, bringing a refined sense of rhythm, timing, and feel into every aspect of horsemanship. This foundation enhances her teaching approach, helping riders develop better awareness, balance, and harmony with their horses through a more intuitive understanding of movement and connection.
Talia has competed successfully on the Connecticut and Massachusetts Quarter Horse circuits, as well as throughout the New England Pinto circuit. She has also earned accomplishments both in the show pen and as a coach at USEF-rated competitions, helping riders achieve their goals while emphasizing strong fundamentals, confidence, and sportsmanship.

Known for her compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, Talia believes that every horse and rider deserves a program tailored to their individual needs. Through Encore Equine, she strives to create an environment where horses are understood, riders are supported, and success is built on a foundation of trust, consistency, and exceptional horsemanship.

Off-Site Lessons
Lessons are thoughtfully designed to meet each rider where they are while helping them achieve their unique goals. Through personalized instruction and a strong emphasis on horsemanship, confidence, and rider development, we create a positive learning environment that encourages steady progress and lasting success. Whether pursuing personal growth or competitive aspirations, riders receive the guidance and support needed to reach their full potential. Lessons are currently offered off-site only at your farm.
Training
Our training program is built around the unique needs of each horse, utilizing a combination of training rides and groundwork to develop confidence, responsiveness, and a strong foundation. From starting young horses to advancing show prospects or fine-tuning established partners, each horse receives individualized attention and a thoughtful approach that prioritizes understanding, consistency, and lasting results. Our goal is to cultivate willing, well-rounded horses that are prepared to succeed both at home and in the show ring.
Clinics
Our clinics are designed to provide riders with an immersive learning experience that fosters growth, confidence, and a deeper understanding of horsemanship. Through personalized instruction and hands-on coaching, participants have the opportunity to refine their skills, strengthen their partnership with their horse, and gain practical tools to support continued success. Each clinic is thoughtfully structured to create a welcoming environment where riders can learn, improve, and reach their goals
